Yitzhak Mordechai

سياسي إسرائيلي

Yitzhak Mordechai is a former Israeli general and politician who held prominent positions in the country's government. His career in politics spanned from 1996 to 2001, during which he was a member of the Knesset, Israel's legislative body. In addition to his role in the Knesset, Mordechai also served as Minister of Defense and Minister of Transport, overseeing key aspects of Israel's national security and infrastructure.

Mordechai's political career came to an end after he was indicted for alleged sexual assaults that occurred during his time in military service and later periods. Following the indictment, he chose to retire from political life. Prior to his entry into politics, Mordechai had a notable military career, ultimately rising to the rank of general. His transition from a military leader to a politician reflected his ongoing involvement in Israel's public life, although his eventual departure from politics was marked by controversy.
