Lee Strasberg was a renowned American acting coach and actor, born in 1901 in Budzanów, which was then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He immigrated to the United States in 1909, where he would go on to make a significant impact on the world of theatre and film. Strasberg's career was marked by his involvement in the founding of several influential theatrical institutions, including the Group Theatre, which he co-founded in 1931 alongside Harold Clurman and Cheryl Crawford.
