World Zionist Organization
منظمة سياسية صهيونية
The World Zionist Organization is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting Zionism. Founded in 1897, the organization originated from the initiative of Theodor Herzl, a key figure in the Zionist movement. The First Zionist Congress, held in Basel, Switzerland, marked the establishment of the organization, then known as the Zionist Organization. This inaugural congress took place at the Stadtcasino Basel in August of that year.
The primary objectives of the Zionist movement were formally outlined in the Basel Program, which was adopted during the First Zionist Congress. As a prominent organization in the field of activism, the World Zionist Organization has been instrumental in advancing the principles of Zionism. With its roots tracing back to the late 19th century, the organization has continued to play a significant role in promoting its core ideals, driven by the vision and goals set forth by its founders.
