Ruth Ward Kahn was a Jewish American poet and writer who made significant contributions to the literary field. Her notable works include the novel "The Story of Judith", as well as "The First Quarter" and "Gertrude". Kahn's writing was not limited to novels, as she also published articles and stories in various prominent publications, such as Woman's Home Companion, Arena, and Popular Science.
Kahn was an active member of several literary organizations, including the Incorporated Society of Authors of London and the Woman's National Press Association. She held a leadership position in the latter, serving as vice-president of the Colorado branch. Her travels took her to numerous destinations, including Bermuda, Mexico, Hawaii, and the South Sea Islands, and she shared her knowledge and experiences through lectures in 20 states across the United States.
