Amnon Marinov
Israeli nuclear physicist (1930–2011)
Amnon Marinov was a renowned Israeli physicist, born in 1930, who made significant contributions to the field of nuclear physics. His research focused on various aspects of nuclear structures and reactions, shedding light on the properties of atomic nuclei. Marinov's work also explored the realm of superheavy elements, which are atomic elements with extremely high atomic numbers.
Throughout his career, Marinov investigated long-lived nuclear isomers, which are atomic nuclei that remain in a metastable state for an extended period. Although often associated with astronomy, Marinov's primary field of expertise was nuclear physics, where he undertook extensive research. He passed away in 2011, leaving behind a legacy of valuable contributions to the understanding of nuclear physics and its related phenomena.
